Why certification?
May 12, 2008
there are thousand of communications products made by hundreds of manufacturers around the world. They include everything from standard phones to hand phones, notebook to laptop, faxes to switchboards. the list is endless. it grows everyday.
Many of “this” products are not made for Indonesia and thus are not suitable for use here. some will not work altogether; others may causes interference in radio communication equipment or the telecommunication network, affecting the quality of transmission and reception.
That is why certification is so important – to ensure that equipment will work properly without causing interference when it’s connected to indonesian’s network. Certification also means you can choose from a wide range of products and be sure they are suitable for indonesia because they meet Indonesian standard.
What happens when the equipment is not certificated?
Because certification is given before products are marketed, all approved products carry approval labels. The product that did’nt carry the approval label is against regulation in Indonesia.
